Game Description

Your goal is to collect the right grocery items from a chaotic grocery store. You’re given a list of categories from your wife. She will judge all the items you pick.

Select the correct number and type of items before heading to checkout.

"Rethink the ordinary" Theme
This game takes the mundane task of grocery shopping and gives it a twist. Picking from a normal list of item categories, but the items available are a mixed bag. And your wife might not like the ordinary stuff. Based on her reactions to items you bring home, you have a chance to rethink the ordinary items.

External assets used:

• Visual elements (shelves, signs, buttons, logo) made using Canva Pro assets

Creator Experience
Second game jam ever, and first time using Game Maker Studio! I learnt a lot about game development and the engine. Even though I did not get to implement everything that I wanted. The deadline made me cut things short, but it also pushed me. And I think it's a big help in helping me to learn quickly and on the spot. Hope you enjoy!
